Verdict

ON THE FRINGE returned to action here a year ago and beat the classy Tammys Hill by three lengths. He had to give best to the runner-up on his next two starts but had no problems landing the Champion Hunters at Leopardstown and will be going for all of the major races this campaign. The once high-class hurdler Luska Lad never ran over fences under Rules but, after being beaten by the race-fit Oscar Barton at Corbeagh House, he scored easily at Rockfield and looks a cracking acquisition to these ranks. Ian Ferguson does well around here and the youngster Walden is progressing well enough to get involved. Six-times winner Lookoutnow is having his first start in this sphere while James and Sole Witness fought out the finish of a point at Maralin last month and arrive in good form.
