Verdict

Pique Sous, a very close third to stable companion Champagne Fever in Cheltenham's Champion Bumper, was a bit disappointing behind Bouillabaisse at the Curragh though that was a very strong event and this represents a drop in class. He should be in the firing line though connections thought he was unhappy on the soft ground and it won't be any faster here. Parramatta gained many admirers at Ballinrobe last time and can provide a threat but though Superior Quality battled on at Downpatrick he'll will find this much tougher under a penalty. The four-year-old CRACKING MAN impressed all who saw him score on heavy ground at Wetherby on his debut and with similar conditions likely this well-bred gelding can remain unbeaten.
