Verdict

KATNAP had shown a bit of potential in France and has run well in his two races for new connections with his close second to Mount Colah at Thurles being a particularly good run as there were some decent performers behind. - that should be good enough for this. All Day Long had been beaten a distance in all three starts over fences but still started favourite for a minor race at Tramore, where he was never travelling though he was impeded before halfway. Butney Boy didn't run badly on his handicap debut here in December and should improve while Hi Big Man has had very little experience but has shown some potential, a remark that also applies to chasing debutant Stoney. El Soro was only just behind Gilgamboa over hurdles at Galway in October but fell when fancied on his chasing bow at Tramore on New Year's Day.
