In depth

Verdict

This will be interesting tactically as the majority of the field have tended to either lead or race prominently so we'll take a chance with RANSOM NOTE who has tended to be a little further back in his races. None are ruled out but more obvious claims are held by Avenuesnalleyways and Falakee. Runners from the Hills yard are always worthy of a second look at this track and Ransom Note has already run a fair race at the venue when finishing in midfield in a nursery last term. He won his two starts either side of that outing and the form of those victories looks solid and suggests that he starts his Classic season on a fair mark. Avenuesnalleyways needs to prove his effectiveness on turf but, otherwise, ticks a number of the right boxes and is due to race from a 2lb higher mark in the future. Falakee battled on well to get the better of a three-way finish at Lingfield and his mark looks reasonable whilst Layla's Dancer and Jupiter Fidius also make some appeal but Ransom Note may be able to bring home the money in the finale.
