BOLLIN GRETA is put forwards in the hope that the market vibes are encouraging but Abayaan and Carlton Scroop are of obvious interest if not. The selection won three times last season and returns to action on a mark that's 7lbs higher than when successful over course and distance but she's from a good family that improves with age and it would be no surprise were she to go on to further success this season. The lack of a run is a concern but she wasn't beaten too far behind Destinys Dream on last year's return which is encouraging. Abayaan has more scope for improvement than most after just two starts and it will be interesting to see how he copes with the firm ground having raced on fibresand and soft thus far; the longer trip isn't expected to be a problem. Carlton Scroop is the subject of a taking jockey booking but has never won on grass unlike Valdan who was staying on pleasingly at Thirsk last time. Few of the eight runners can be ruled out but Bollin Greta gets our vote.
