In depth

Verdict

The fences keep getting in the way of Habbie Simpson and he may be best watched until showing that his confidence has been restored. Eighteen Carat was second at Catterick earlier this month but this trip looks on the short side nowadays so we'll take a chance on the fitness of PRINCE OF PIRATES. Very lightly-raced over timber, he hasn't been seen since failing to justify favouritism at the Punchestown Festival in May but clearly has ability and probably more scope than today's rivals. Cody Wyoming and Park Lane may be out of their depth today.
