A tough start to the day and we will put forward PROFICIENCY to get the better of Kalasam, William's Way and Ghufa. Tim Walford's filly was making her handicap debut at Nottingham last time when she finished third behind Dream Of Olwyn. She looks progressive and with trip and ground to suit she can get punters off to a winning start. Kalasam looks the best alternative, especially as the return to this quicker surface should suit. His trainer Mick Easterby often targets this meeting and he is one to note in the market. William's Way arrives here with a race fitness edge on some of his rivals, but this drop in trip is not sure to play to his strengths. Ghufa has started to drop to a more attractive mark and he only found the progressive General Tufto too good last time. Wester Lodge and All In The Red are others worth a mention, but for the winner we will stick with the unexposed Proficiency.
