Verdict

Marshgate Lane sports the first colours of the Godolphin trio and will appreciate the return to soft ground. Sirvino has both trip and going in his favour as he looks to end a long losing run while the likes of Royal Peculiar and Fulgur remain open to further improvement off their current marks. Bridle Belle and Party Line are others capable of making their presence felt and Lady Kashaan remains on the upgrade as shown by her latest win at Haydock. However, a speculative vote goes to another three-year-old in PROOFREADER who won on his racecourse debut in soft ground in June eased down. A host of subsequent winners finished behind him at Newmarket and there's a strong chance John Gosden's charge is ahead of the handicapper.
