In depth

Verdict

Crazy Jack was taking on better opposition when sixth here in November. His stable is in terrific form and he remains unexposed over fences. Categorical reserves his best for Newcastle nowadays while Great Link has become unreliable but Ayr runner-up Quicuyo is 6lb lower than when second over course and distance in December and Free World was running well prior to his latest fourth at Huntingdon. The potentially well-treated TIPTOEAWAY is given one final chance in the hope that first-time headgear has the desired effect. He'd looked to be on the way back at Musselburgh on New Year's Day before disappointing over a shorter trip at Catterick.
