Verdict

This is arguably the weaker of the two divisions of the Maiden. Barrissimo was highly tried in the Redcar Two-Year-Old trophy and with Sharplaw Venture only a matter of strides infront, there is plenty going for the Harris charge. Loyal, on the other hand, was a big market drifter at Lingfield. His breeding suggests that we won't be seeing his best until next year at the earliest. A chance is taken with newcomer, Golden Dual. The TEAMtalk selection hails from a stable that has enjoyed particular success with its Juveniles on Town Moor and if this horse possesses any of the ability of its' half-brother, Naheef, he will take all the beating. The market will give the best clues as to the chances of Summer Circus. Bluegrass Boy has something to prove after a moderate performance on his last racecourse start and he should be watched in the market.
