Verdict

Yul Finegold ran well at a big price when stepped up to 1m4f last month and is unlikely to start at 20/1 for this. Typhon scored over track and trip at the same price in June but could only manage third off today's higher mark at Epsom last time. Ikhtisas and Nonotnow are likely improvers especially the latter who will appreciate the longer trip and it's too soon to write of Aneedh after a below par effort at Yarmouth. GIOIA DI VITA finished a respectable third in a more competitive handicap over 1m3f on the Polytrack last time but Marco Botti's colt gets the vote on his earlier second over today's trip at Pontefract behind the progressive Theodore Gericault.
