This is a far cry from the Group 2 Great Voltigeur won by Centennial two seasons ago and despite looking very well handicapped at present he cannot be backed with confidence, so continual has been his slide, so preference is for ALAZAN. Philip Hobbs has his string in tremendous form and this four-year-old has won over both hurdles and also in a 10f Sandown handicap last time. He is related to placed runners over this trip and races as though he will stay. Classic Vintage acts with cut and is back on his last winning mark, so he has to be respected. Kings Troop is 9lb higher than an Epsom win over this trip earlier in the campaign and acts on good to soft. Seven Summits has potential for improvement after just four runs and is not ruled out.
