CITY VAULTS GIRL is our idea of the winner with Court Gown and Enjoyment likely to prove the most dangerous to our selection. Richard Fahey's charge was a tad unfortunate to run up against Shamandar at Ripon earlier in the month, especially as that filly went on to finish second in a big Newmarket sales race at the weekend. Court Gown represents the yard of Ed McMahon. After a slow start, the fortunes of the yard are picking up and the market must therefore be watched in relation to the daughter of Zafeen. Enjoyment is a daughter of Dansili. There is plenty of hope to cling on to if the going stays on the softer side of good. Just The Tonic chased home the smart Mister Angry at Catterick but it would be disappointing were there not something to improve past her today. Proper Littlemadam was well touted ahead of a similar race at this course in June but the time figure suggests it wasn't the greatest race ever staged at Town Moor. Jimmy Quinn elects to ride her ahead of Royal Record, whom he rode on racecourse debut. Of the remainder, the highly tried Gulf Punch makes most, if limited appeal. City Vaults Girl would be unlucky to run up against another decent type and gets the vote.
