Ortac Rock produced a 66/1 shock on his debut over this trip at Ascot and showed battling qualities to follow-up over a furlong shorter at Newbury. The form of that race hasn't worked out too well but there's plenty of progress left in Richard Hannon's charge. The champion trainer-elect also runs Wolfgang, whose only success came over the C&D in June but has been running well in tough nurseries. Jack Who's He may be a little high in the weights after his early successes but Strictly Silver improved at Ayr and makes his handicap debut. Quick Bite looks as though he wants plenty of give in the ground and the vote goes to DEEPSAND, who is tackling this trip for the first time but wasn't stopping on his hat-trick bid at York where he was impeded in the closing stages.
