Verdict

Calgary Bay won the Sky Bet Chase here in 2012 for Henrietta Knight but rather went downhill after that. He was well beaten at Bangor earlier this month and will need to recapture past glories to win this. Alan Hill won this a couple of years ago and runs former Racing Post Chase winner Quinz. He's landed a point-to-point this season and is another on a downward spiral. Monsieur Jourdain wins his fair share between the flags, however, and stays well. He's preferred to Best Served Cold but PAINT THE CLOUDS should have his measure. The 10-year-old made giant strides last year when teaming up with Sam Waley-Cohen and could be a factor in next month's Foxhunter Chase at Cheltenham if all goes to plan.
