Verdict

Nacho Libre remains in solid form but he's yet to win in cheek-pieces while Lujano may well find this drop in distance against him. El Dececy has form at this trip but needs a proper test and so we'll turn to ELIJAH PEPPER for David Barron and Dean Heslop. The five-year-old perhaps found a stiff seven a stretch last time and should do better returned to six furlongs, the trip he's gained all four career victories at. He's won off this mark in the past and when last racing over the distance took a fine fourth in what was surely a stronger contest. Others to include in calculations are the exposed but consistent maiden Powerful Pierre and Shannon Golden now Jimmy Quinn takes the ride while The Scorching Wind takes a steep drop in grade and could be revitalised.
