Verdict

Cai Sheen won this as a three-year-old last season and four of the last five winners have come from that age group. SWEDISH SAILOR is the only representative this time but has to be the selection given that his only start last October saw him slam the classy Noble Mission by 5l. There's obviously been something amiss but if anywhere near that kind of form he'll take the world of beating. Godolphin are also represented by Modeyra, another with a similar absence to overcome. She won her first start as a juvenile in 2009 before landed a Listed contest so she's obviously up to this grade if near her peak. Beaten Up landed the Group 3 St Simon Stakes at Newbury on his reappearance and he's another who made a winning racecourse debut. He was nowhere near his best in the Coronation Cup when well fancied so must be a threat in a very interesting contest.
