William Buick has chosen Sadler's Wells newcomer Light Well ahead of Unex Renoir, joint favourite for a Chepstow maiden last month, and market support would have to be taken seriously. Sciampin, unfancied when fourth at Haydock last time, has a bit of scope while Searing Heat will almost certainly improve on his debut eighth at Newbury over this longer trip. Wayward Glance is proving disappointing, however, while High Jinx needs to step up on his third at Haydock to land this. MUQTARRIB showed promise in both outings last year and made a very satisfactory reappearance when a close third over 1m2f at Newmarket. Runner-up Wild Coco won by eight lengths earlier this week and Brian Meehan's colt is the one to beat on that form.
