Verdict

Angelic Lord doesn't have any fancy entries this autumn, unlike a couple of his rivals, but he's been very highly tried since winning on his Ripon debut. He finished sixth in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot and the fifth in the July Stakes at Newmarket and should find this less taxing. He has plenty in hand on his rivals according to official ratings but MARKAZ is improving fast judged on his second in a Goodwood nursery last time when he had no luck in-running from a wide draw yet was only beaten half-a-length - we'll take him to upset the form book. Growl was soon beaten last time at York while Fuwairt and Prince Bonnaire have had their limitations exposed lately.
