      Verdict

A typically competitive renewal for this valuable prize and, with a strong gallop assured, the premium is very much on stamina so Tees Components is handed the TEAMtalk vote. Mary Reveley's charge was disappointing when favourite for the Cesarewitch but came back to form with avengeance last time to score readily over two miles on a return visit to Headquarters. The son of Risk Me appreciated the soft ground on the latter occasion and with conditions very much in his favour once again, this progressive performer can defy a subsequent 11lb rise. Capitano Corelli is the least exposed in the field and is an obvious danger following recent wins at Musselburgh and over course and distance (now 8lb higher) on soft ground. Paul Cole's charge can confirm the placings with runner-up Sarin on 4lb worse terms for a two-and-a-half length beating. Collier Hill has proved most consistent and will rightfully have his share of support while Maimana holds both Him Of Distinction and Snow Leopard on recent Newmarket form and is another who will relish the conditions. Dual purpose performer Polar Red returns to the Flat on a fair mark and is another who goes well in the mud so, with fitness unlikely to be a problem, is another to consider in an open affair.
