Verdict

A return to Doncaster looks likely to suit Wildcat Wizard after an absence, however BROAD CAIRN is a progressive three-year-old and he is preferred to Russian Jar. The selection has now won three of his last five starts and a 4lb rise for his latest success at Warwick looks lenient. He seems to act on any ground and with regular pilot Steve Drowne on top once again he looks sure to run a big race. The trip is a bit of an issue with Russian Jar who seemed to get outpaced at Newmarket last time before staying on well. He appears to lack a turn of foot and his jockey will need to be on the ball today if he is to prevail. Akhenaten has run two good races in defeat of late in some very competitive contests, Alkhafif was almost pulled up last time and there must be some doubts on the back of that run, whilst the market may help guide to the chance of Jet D'Eau who drops in class today. He holds Bonnie Charlie on their run behind Bounty Box at Newmarket, whilst the drop back in trip looks likely to suit Vitoria who can win off her mark of 87. Stablemate Inheritor doesn't appear to be quite as well-treated however he is a more progressive gelding and cannot be overlooked, however he has a bit to find with Russian Jar on their run last time out behind the well-ridden Seek N' Destroy. An open handicap, but we will side with Broad Cairn.
