Verdict

The three-year-old's have an advantage with a decent weight-for-age allowance and with Twice Over so lifeless last time we will plump for SERVA JUGUM. Paul Cole's unexposed colt made his seasonal reappearance in a competitive Group Three race at Windsor last month. Unfancied in the betting on that occasion, he lost little caste in defeat behind Campanologist and this well-related colt is fancied to run a big race. Gitano Hernando is a course and distance winner but the Group Three that he ran in at Chester was not a tremendous race and whilst he is still open to improvement he probably needs to. Twice Over is the class act in the line-up however Henry Cecil's colt raced with no enthusiasm in the Eclipse. Obviously that race is way above this, and it may be that he will enjoy bossing these lesser horses, however there has to be a nagging doubt. Sweet Lilly has a hard task against the colts, Chock A Block is unexposed but his Goodwood run was a big disappointment, whilst Kings Gambit's run behind Kirklees at York in July has been franked and the return to this trip will suit. Serva Jugum is given the vote.
