Verdict

Queen Spud didn't look an easy ride when second to Iron Butterfly over this course and distance 10 days ago but wasn't beaten far and can race off the same mark today. It's a while since Kykate last ran over hurdles but she probably isn't on a bad mark and makes more appeal than plater Kimora and My Legal Lady, who has her first start since May last year. DARDANELLA makes her handicap debut having got off the mark in pleasing fashion at Towcester in November. She has plenty of scope and, hailing from a yard that's going well at present, can double her tally here as Chasse En Mer never looked like winning when favourite at Newcastle last month.
