    Verdict

Electrolyser was a decent stayer on the Flat in his prime and shrugged off a year's absence to score over hurdles at Plumpton in December, despite making a few mistakes. He isn't very big, however, and may also lack the scope of a few of these. He ended up on the same rating on the level as Alan King's hurdling newcomer FIRST MOHICAN, who has won four races between 7f and 1m2f and will be ready for this and is preferred to Civil War. Another Flat winner, the latter made a promising start over timber when chasing home Dubawi Island at Plumpton but the once-useful Retrieve was very disappointing at Wetherby. Lyric Street and Huff And Puff are open to improvement, however, and have place claims along with Catterick runner-up Fair Loch.
