Verdict

BUNCE is fancied to reverse the form of his debut encounter with Scarlet Rocks and can continue Richard Hannon's sparking run of form; Bonjour Bongee is a debutant to note in the betting, while Foghorn Leghorn and Zaidan are others to keep tabs on for future reference. Bonjour Bongee, being by Monsieur Bond and out of a half-sister to Baltic King, is totally bred for sprinting and, as his yard has been steady away this season, he is a dark horse worth considering if the vibes are positive. Obviously the betting market will be the best gauge. Time may tell that Scarlet Rocks has simply met some useful types and has lost very little in defeat. However, she has consistently found one more determined in each of her three starts, so the chinks are there for all to see - with Bunce fancied to be the main rival capable of exploiting any weaknesses. Hannon's colt lacked experience on his debut and floundered near the finish as a result. As he is drawn much closer to Scarlet Rocks tonight, Bunce can get a good tow into the race and he is a good bet to find the necessary improvement when push-comes-to-shove.
