Verdict

Cape Clear Island was well supported for his debut here three weeks ago and, though he looked like winning, he couldn't hold the late thrust of Bertie Le Belge who looks useful. Back in fourth place and catching the eye with a late run was BALDONNEL and it's Dermot Weld's grey who is taken to improve enough and gain his first success. Tommy Stack won this last year so the speedily-bred Accepted, a half-brother to five winners, is one to keep an eye on along with Jim Bolger's Dunquin, a son of Cape Cross out of a Group 2 7f winner. Aidan O'Brien also runs U S Navy Seal, a dfisappointing favourite at Leopardstown, and the War Front colt Siege Of Orleans, who is out of a Grade 3 winner in the USA.
