Verdict

Jim Bolger won this with Teofilo and New Approach a few years ago and is doubly represented this time. Kevin Manning has chosen Parish Boy, who won what looked a very strong Naas maiden last time, over Leopardstown winner Hall Of Fame though he's not certain to be correct as the latter beat subsequent impressive winner John F Kennedy at Leopardstown. The latter's yard is represented by GLENEAGLES, who landed the odds in a Group Three at Leopardstown last month when Convergence finished last of three. The latter has gone on to easily land a Listed race at Tipperary so the form looks decent and Gleneagles, who is entered in all the major races to come, looks above average and can score again. Itorio is speedy but was found wanting at Group Three level last time.
