Verdict

The Great War hasn't done as well as expected though he didn't run badly in the Group 2 July Stakes and this is a drop in grade. Surprisingly he's the only colt in the line-up and has to concede weight to the fillies including his stablemate Simply A Star. Joseph O'Brien would struggle to do the weight on the latter though would probably have chosen his mount anyway. AINIPPE created a big impression when slamming her rivals, including Simply A Star, at Naas last month. She's certain to improve and can just get the better of Newsletter, a close third to Anthem Alexander at Royal Ascot before last of five behind Dick Whittington at the Curragh.
