In depth

Verdict

Johnny Murtagh looks to have a very nice prospect on his hands in BELLE DE CRECY, who had shown promise before landing a Roscommon maiden on fast ground by almost ten lengths. She hasn't been done any favours by the assessor but there's more to come and she can complete a quick double. Valbucca suffered in the weights for her two victories in May but bounced back to form at Down Royal last time though another 7lb rise could prove her downfall. Treasure The Ridge got off the mark when tackling fast ground for the first time at Clonmel and the handicapper has by no means hit him hard so he has to be a threat and though Eighteen Summers is still a maiden he ran very well over 1m4f here last month and the drop in trip should be to his advantage. Abbey Vale ran poorly at Leopardstown on Thursday after a cracking effort behind Teorim there a fortnight earlier.
