Verdict

Jim Bolger's horses are still in outstanding form and AN GHALANTA can get him off to a winning start on Oaks weekend. The daughter of Holy Roman Emperor had a couple of useful performers behind when runner-up to Requinto in a Listed race at Tipperary last week and appears to be still on the upgrade. Redoutable made a very promising debut behind Princess Sinead over 7f on soft ground here and normal progress would certainly see her in the shake-up, while Sophies Echo almost created a real shock when runner-up to Devotion at Leopardstown and is another to consider. Fixed Gaze is one to keep an eye on for the future but is likely to need further in time.
