Despite this being ultra-competitive three of the last four favourites have been successful. Dermot Weld has a very good record in the race and has three entered here. Pat Smullen is on board Truthwillsetufree though it's the stable's Hisaabaat, a Grade 1 winning hurdler, who may have the better chance at the weights. Brian Ellison will be delighted that Becausewecan has scraped into the handicap and he'll have no problems with the trip nor will his stablemate MONTEFELTRO, and he looks the one to be on after an impressive victory at York where he came from a long way back to score easily over that 1m6f. Celestial Prospect, who followed his victory at Wexford with another over timber at Navan, and Cullentry Royal, who is going from strength-to-strength but has shot up the weights as a consequence, are also considered along with the in-form Caim Hill.
