Just a quartet of runners here but all eyes will be on the battle between Famous Name and BORN TO SEA. The former has won an astonishing 18 times from 35 starts but has never scored at this level, though he's been placed several times in Group 1 events. He loves this track and trip and arrives in the form of his life having won three Group 3s already this year but his likely market rival has been a talking horse throughout his career given that he's very closely related to Sea The Stars, Galileo and several other high-class performers. He was having his first start beyond a mile when taking on Camelot in the Irish Derby and acquitted himself very well so this trip should prove his optimum and he can gain his first Group victory. Warwick Avenue is progressing nicely but has a very stiff task in his first run at Pattern race level though he easily holds Bob Le Beau on their run over the C&D in May.
Bob Le Beau (IRE) 40-1 (9-9) Led, ridden and headed 3 1/2f out, soon weakened, eased final furlong, last of 8, 22l behind Galileo's Choice (9-9) at Leopardstown 1m 4f Grp 3 (1) gs.
Famous Name 3-10fav (9-12) Tracked leaders, 3rd halfway, headway in 2nd 2f out, pushed out to lead over 1f out, clear inside final furlong, easily, won at Leopardstown 1m 1f Grp 3 (1) gd in Jul beating Ballybacka Lady (9-6) by 6l, 6 ran.
Born To Sea (IRE) 8-1 (9-0) Settled in rear, closer in 4th entering straight, went 2nd under 2f out, soon ridden and tried to challenge, no impression on winner inside final furlong, kept on same pace, 2nd of 5, 2l behind Camelot (9-0) at Curragh 1m 4f 3yo Grp 1 (1) sft in Jun.
Warwick Avenue (IRE) 5-2 (9-3) Soon led and made most, ridden and strongly pressed 1f out, kept on under pressure inside final furlong, held on well, won at Fairyhouse 1m 2f stks sft in Jul beating Blue Corner (9-3) by hd, 4 ran.
