In depth

Verdict

Star Links has been hit by an 8lb rise for scoring at Naas on Monday and is better over a mile while Casela Park is better on the all-weather. The latter wasn't far behind Joe Eile at Naas and again ran well at Galway so isn't out of this tough handicap. Joe Eile is progressing nicely and his young rider's big claim will be a help but he was behind Jambalaya last time and David Wachman's filly is in good form. Independent Girl was gaining her first victory when making all at Galway and she's on the short-list but the lightly-raced and progressive ASHTON ROSE is given the nod from the bottom of the handicap as she has been threatening to win for some time and was only headed in the closing stages over a mile at Killarney last time.
