Verdict

Three-year-olds have won four of the last five. FOUND misses the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket for this and there'll be some long faces if she's beaten. The Prix Marcel Boussac winner is in the Irish version later in the month though her prime target is the Oaks at Epsom where she's installed as favourite. Dermot Weld has a host of potential classic winners this season and Shahzeena, who is entered in the Irish 1000 Guineas after impressive debut on testing ground at Cork, is certainly one of them. Stellar Glow, a half-sister to Alfred Nobel, was twice beaten at odds-on in her first campaign but she's always been more likely to do better this year as her numerous group entries suggest and is by no means out of this. Alive Alive Oh looks best of the older brigade though the classic generation look too strong.
