KALANN, a winner at Dundalk in December, finished runner-up in a Grade 3 on his hurdling debut and has since performed at Grade 1 and 2 level. That kind of form makes him impossible to oppose even though this is the first time he faces good going. Doux Douce will have benefited from the experience gained on his hurdling debut at Downpatrick and can do better though a bigger threat may emerge in the shape of Longliner, a very good fourth in a huge field at Naas before finding the ground too sticky at Wexford.
