Verdict

Plenty of progressive types here including Jack Cool, who has won three of his last five starts over timber but has gone up 33lb as a result. Whether he can defy the extra is another matter and, like his main rivals, he's returning from a break. Cheer Up and ANSHAN DREAMS are also on hat-tricks - the former after narrow victories here and at Thurles while the latter gaining narrow victories here and at Tipperary. Adrian Maguire's charge gets the vote as he is making his handicap debut from what looks a fair mark. Echo Bob is another returning from an absence but he's very well handicapped at his best and has definitely improved over fences.
