Verdict

JOHN CONSTABLE started a short-priced favourite on his debut at Gowran last month but looked in need of the experience. He was an odds-on chance a week later at Roscommon but again found some trouble in-running after getting outpaced. With those runs under his belt he should be a different proposition here though Intensified will ensure he doesn't have things his own way. Jim Bolger's colt was beaten narrowly by War Command at Leopardstown in June and, though he hasn't fulfilled that promise, his overall form is good enough to put him in the frame. Panhandler's second to Craftsman on heavy going at Listowel was a good effort and any further rain would increase his chances while Tiffany Bay made an encouraging start when sent to Chester for her debut and will have benefited from that introduction.
