Verdict

After victories in a point-to-point and two bumpers, BLACK HERCULES finished a close fourth in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham before a very poor effort in the Punchestown version. He'll be at short odds on his hurdling debut here and is hopefully over whatever agffected him in that latest performance. Dr Zoom made a bright start in a Limerick bumper and was well supported at Thurles later but never got into the action. Philip Fenton also runs Patsio, who ploughed through the Limerick mud to land a bumper in April and didn't perform badly on his hurdling debut the following month. Robert Tyner has a trio of entries and A Hardy Nailer looks a fair prospect as he followed his comfortable victory in a point-to-point with another in a Tipperary bumper.
