In depth

Verdict

David Wachman has won this three times in the past seven years and has a trio of newcomers entered, the best of who may be the very speedily-bred Come To Heel. Wateed showed good pace on his debut in what looked a strong maiden over the track and trip and Treadstone stayed on nicely behind Stubbs over the minimum at Navan but the form pick has to be CANDY APPLES. He followed a narrow defeat by Michaelmas at the Curragh with a very good effort behind subsequent Group 3 winner Wilshire Boulevard at Navan and normal progress should see him go one better.
