Verdict

Winning bumper Crystal Earth has won twice on the Flat this summer and her allowance should help her go close. Sonny B has finished runner-up in a point-to-point, a bumper and over hurdles at Galway last week and it won't be long before he's winning, a remark that also applies to Azorian, who has looked potentially smart in his runs between the flags and in bumpers. It's almost three years since Bold Optimist beat the classy Felix Yonger in a Leopardstown bumper and if he's anywhere near ready he would definitely be competitive though the vote just goes to UNIC DE BERSY. Willie Mullins' winning point-to-pointer made a good impression in a Tipperary bumper in May and should make a successful start to his career over jumps.
