In depth

Verdict

MOST PECULIAR was held up at the back on his debut at Fairyhouse and couldn't quite pick up when asked. He'll be better for the experience and can see off Perfect Promise, who has run well enough but is looking exposed. Honey Pound has also had his chances and was just behind Positive Approach at Limerick in December. Drunken Counsel ran a bit better at Fairyhouse on New Year's Day and has Nina Carberry in the saddle while the newcomer Cappal Gan Ainm has a decent pedigree and is one to note in the market.
