In depth

Verdict

Avondhu Lady has plenty going for her, including two narrow defeats at this level last season, and a recent run will have put her straight. Backinthere made a bright start over fences here a fortnight ago where she survived a bad error to win comfortably. She's an obvious threat with progress guaranteed while Caoimhe's Delight may have beaten Fantastic Gold at Thurles but for a last-fence mistake. CAHERONAUN looked an improving type on her last two starts in the spring and wasn't disgraced on her final start behind Tarla at Limerick so gets the nod in a tricky race.
