Verdict

URANO arrived from France with a big reputation but didn't live up to it when runner-up five times over the minimum trip. He looked a different proposition over 2m6f at Thurles last time and, though this is much tougher, he can complete a double. After landing a maiden here, The Job Is Right stepped into Grade 3 company at Cork and battled on to beat Band Of Blood by three lengths. There was certainly no disgrace in his subsequent second to Faugheen at Limerick, especially as the winner was receiving 3lb. Double Irish hadn't shown much in his first two starts over hurdles but it was a different matter at Leopardstown in December where he was an emphatic winner over a decent-looking field. There's more to come from him while Seskinane is reverting to hurdles after a couple of runs over fences and his close third to Rule The World at Naas in October would give him a fair chance in this. The Westener Boy, a winning point-to-pointer and bumper, scored very easily over fences at Navan in December and reverts to hurdling after failing to complete in his last two starts. Very Wood has competed at a high level since an easy winner of a maiden hurdle at Galway in October and it will be a surprise if he's not in the shake-up while Railway Zira has a career tally of three from five and though she'll need to improve there's every chance she will do so.
