Favourites have a surprisingly good record in a race that usually produces big fields. Pat Smullen brought BREENAINTHEMYCRA with a perfectly timed challenge to score over slightly further at Limerick and the softer ground here can see him go in again from a 7lb higher mark. Rockview Emperor was gaining just his second victory on his 28th start at Gowran and an 8lb rise looks a bit harsh. Oceania Queen won here in September and continued to perform with credit from her revised mark though she hasn't run since November. She had Pennys Angel 3l behind on that day here but the latter is much better off at the weights though she's another with an absence to overcome. Palace Art has yet to win a race in 18 starts but can't go any lower in the ratings and hasn't been beaten far in her two latest starts at Dundalk.
