GOLDIKOVA has already made Breeders' Cup history with three victories in this race and is expected to make it four on her final start. The winner of 17 races, she had to defy a wide draw to beat the brilliantly consistent Gio Ponti a year ago and has the inside berth this time. That could cause some problems and the runner-up has been primed to go one better while Byword, though well beaten by Goldikova at Longchamp in May, has definitely improved subsequently and beat Champion Stakes winner Cirrus Des Aigles comfortably last time. Strong Suit has won two Group 2's over 7f in the style of a very classy performer and had the perfect prep for this at Newmarket last month. He hasn't quite proved himself at the very highest level but this could be his time to do so. Courageous Cat was runner-up in 2009 but will do well to be in at the finish this time.
