In depth

Verdict

Musical Blaze ran a blinder on her debut at York and is taken to win this time around at the expense of Meydan Grove and Cornish Rose. The selection was third of fourteen at a big price on her debut behind Smalljohn and the fact her trainer Mark Brisbourne has such a fantastic strike rate at the track means she looks difficult to oppose. Meydan Grove has improved through experience and does come from a powerful yard so is one to note in the market, while Cornish Rose was not totally discredited on her debut and should improve. But for the winner we return to Musical Blaze.
