Verdict

JACQUELINE GUEST looks a likely improver and is taken to land the opener at the main expense of Angelina Ballerina. The Henry Cecil-trained selection made a pleasing debut at Newbury when finding only one too good for her, and she is now stepped up in trip, which should certainly suit very well. She again gets fast ground and hopefully she will be able to take advantage of a good draw to score. Angelina Ballerina has stacks more experience than the selection, having had six runs to date, finishing runner-up at both Pontefract and Newbury in maidens and even being tried in Listed company. A mark of 77 marks her out as one to respect, but she is clearly vulnerable to an improver, especially from a wide draw. Let Them Eat Cake is a nicely bred newcomer from the in-form Richard Fahey yard. She is related to juvenile winners over this trip and market support would probably be significant. Pathway To Heaven is another who could make into a nice middle distance performer in time for John Quinn, while A Pocketful Of Rye made a quiet enough debut but should improve here. Jacqueline Guest gets the vote.
