Verdict

Illustrious Prince won this from the same mark a year ago and though mainly inconsistent can never be ruled out and a low draw should help. Glenridding likes a tight track and has won around here though he's better handicapped on the all-weather these days. LADY LAYLA has been going well at Wolverhampton but her two career victories have been on Turf and she was in excellent form at this time a year ago so she looks the one to be on from her inside berth. Quick Bite likes plenty of give and ran very well in the mud at Newcastle last time where he was only caught close home over this trip but Early Applause, who has had a couple of runs over hurdles, may find this on the short side.
