Verdict

RIBAAT opened with a Haydock victory in August and was expected to make a successful reappearance at Newbury but raced much too freely and finished over five lengths behind Baltic Knight and today's rival Here Comes When. He's given a chance to make amends as the latter is 7lb worse off and not certain to confirm the form on this quicker ground. Sorella Bella finished runner-up behind Law Enforcement in a Group 1 in Italy and that kind of form would see her difficult to beat, though she struggled home in the Nell Gwyn on her reappearance. The well-bred Breton Rock did everything right in his two races at Salisbury, both over 6f, so with this trip certain to suit he can go well and Dashing David made a winning juvenile debut so the lack of a recent run won't be a problem. The latter remark also applies to Baddilini, who was staying on strongly at the finish of Redcar's Two-Year-Old Trophy.
