Verdict

King's Masque won this in 2010 and though unraced since August of that year his overall form puts him in the picture if he's ready. Ken's Girl won off a 3lb higher mark at Windsor last summer and she'll be better for her recent reappearance but Smart Step may find this ground too lively as she's been confined to racing on much softer conditions this spring. SAMMY ALEXANDER hasn't run since August and needs to improve a little on what he's shown to date but his best form was over this trip and he's taken to make a winning return to action. Yes Chef won a handicap here last summer from a 2lb higher mark so must be a threat if in anything like that form.
